Meet Your Fascia Stretch Therapist
Hi, I’m Ian Ray, a Fascia Stretch Therapist based in Baltimore, Maryland. My journey in Fascia Stretch Therapy started when I was working in a physiotherapist office and introduced to assisted stretching for clients. I was a PT Tech and given an opportunity to do assisted stretching for clients who wanted to keep in shape and be mobile after their PT sessions were finished.
With a background in healthcare and marketing, I have spent the past year honing my skills in stretch therapy while also working at full-time job. I received my Fascial Stretch Therapy training and Certification Level 1 through Stretch To Win Institute as well as from National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Flexibility and Mobility Coach.
As I was searching for a mentor and module to learn from performing stretch therapy, I came across Stretch To Win Institute through several other practitioners who have gone through their program and seen them performing their patented techniques on social media. The types of people that I have helped and done FST since then have been various demographics from geriatric, younger athletes, stay-at-home mothers, working professionals and your everyday athlete.
I believe in educating others so they can improve their lives, and my mission is to do so by offering FST as a way to help them avoid unnecessary surgeries, painkillers and injections. I’m passionate about teaching others how the fascia works connectively as a whole and how it can hold many tensions and aches from trauma, pain and such. I strive to make a difference in others lives by first listening intently, second understanding where they are coming from and third where they want to go with FST and their life.
What sets me apart is my unique approach to performing Fascia Stretch Therapy rather than the traditional assisted stretching techniques. My clients appreciate that I communicate with them before, during and after their sessions so that we are all on the same page through the session. My clients love that I personalize their session to their needs and we come up with a plan to getting them feeling better physically, emotionally and mentally.
When I’m not doing FST, you can find me spending time with my family traveling around the east coast, adventuring to another country or being outdoors enjoying nature and activities to do.
A fun fact about me is I was born in Japan and raised on the Big Island of Hawai’i.
I’d love to connect with you! Feel free to book your first FST session with me here. Check out my work by following on YouTube and Instagram at @stretch2gollc.
